Harry S. Truman. Year of Decisions [and:] Years of Trial and Hope. Garden City: Doubleday, 1955, 1956. First trade editions. Presentation copy. Inscribed by Truman on the dedication page in volume I (volume II not inscribed): "To my good friend and/long time supporter,/Jack Kroll/with Kindest regards and/deep appreciation of his/friendship from/Harry Truman/2/7/56". Two octavo volumes. Publisher's full black cloth, front boards stamped in silver, spines stamped in lavender and silver. Original dust jackets (volume I is price-clipped). Cloth bindings somewhat rubbed. Bookseller's ticket on front pastedown in volume I. Dust jackets have some edgewear, light chipping, some soiling and a few short tears. Overall, a very good set.
