Octavo (9.75 x 6.5 inches; 247 x 171 mm.). xii, 781, [3, blank] pages; frontispiece portrait of Einstein by Yousuf Karsh. Publisher's brown leatherette over boards with beveled edges, gilt-stamped facsimile signature of Einstein on the front board, spine lettered and ruled in gilt; top edge gilt, others untrimmed; in the original slipcase. Spine faintly dulled; mild rubbing and bumping to spine tailcap; several pages unopened. Slipcase is slightly sunned; some edgewear and a few bumps to slipcase; one joint to slipcase is splitting. Still, a fine copy. An excellent biography, containing articles by Einstein, Wolfgang Pauli, Louis de Broglie, Max Born, Kurt Gödel, and Niels Bohr. From the James C. Seacrest Collection.
