Richardson, London, 1792. Presentation copy of the first edition, inscribed and signed by Young to the Duke of Lioncourt on the front flyleaf. Quarto. viii, 566, [4, Index and Errata] pages. With three folding maps. Near-contemporary polished calf with gilt spine titles and gilt-decorated spine. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Moderate abrading to the edges. Some chipping and one small hole to the page of the inscription. Some toning to the maps, and a couple of short tears. Overall, a very good copy. From a private collection from New Orleans.
