Inscribed (unknown hand) to General Kirby Smith's grandson on the front free endpaper "To John Selden Kirby-Smith / 1944 / One of the last three unbound copies / left from the original publication." This copy also with an original General Kirby-Smith clipped signature mounted below his frontispiece portrait. Octavo. vi, 293 pages. Portrait of the general in his Confederate general's uniform used as frontispiece. Bound in gray cloth with titles stamped on the front board and spine.

    Condition: Near fine. Exterior with only modest shelf wear. Contents tight and square.
