Volume one with 155 illustrations and volume two with 208 illustrations. Publisher's blue cloth over heavy boards with stamped "PRB" device on front covers, titles to spines, upper edges blue. Errata slips bound in both volumes. Bindings scuffed, corners bumped and rubbed, spines lightly toned, head and foot bumped; volume one lacking tissue guard between frontis and title page, edge wear, some foxing, nonetheless in very good condition.
