    R. Ackermann. The Repository of Arts, Literature, Commerce.... [London]: 1809-1810.

    January 1809 - December 1810. Four volumes. Containing articles and illustrations on ladies fashionable dresses, fashionable furniture, fashionable carriages, inside views of a fashionable magazines or shops, sporting subjects, etc. Each volume with engraved frontispieces and title pages. Heavily illustrated with hand-colored engravings, some with tipped-in cloth or paper samples, some folding. Armorial bookplate on pastedowns. Uniformaly bound in half calf over marbeld paper covered boards with matching marbled edges endpapers. Both boards detached from volumes I and IV, volume II front board detached. Bindings rubbed and chipped, spine end tears and loss, corners bumped. Image offset. Pages with occasional minor foxing, smudges, or stains. Very good set in need of re-binding.
