Approximately 12.5 x 9.5 inches. xxxi, [7], 5-90, [2] pages. Twenty tipped-in color plates and forty-two photogravures inserted throughout, each with annotated tissue guards. The tipped-in plate facing page 5 has come loose at two corners. Holograph pencil note on page xxv of the Foreword: "Editorial work by Chas. De Kay/ Technical Work, Typography/ and Color Plates/ by Walter Gilliss". Bound in hard red vellum embossed boards, top edge gilt. Binding rubbed and lightly soiled, small surface chips at edges of boards, head of spine bowed, spine lightly sun faded; loose binding string at page xv of the "Foreword," occasional minor soiling or smudges to pages or plates; else in very good condition. Tiffany paid for the production of this book, and presented the copies personally to clients, friends, and employees.
