    [Architecture]. Justi Lipsi. De Amphitheatro Liber. Antwerp: Christopher Plantin, 1585. Early edition. Two small quarto volumes bound in one. [107], [1, blank], [viii], 175, [1, blank] pages. Illustrated with several folding plates. Lacking two plates, two folding plates partially lacking. Near contemporary full mottled calf, remnant of paper label on spine, five raised bands. All edges stained red. Binding worn, chipped and soiled. Text with occasional thumbsoiling. Many pages are trimmed a bit close at upper margin. Occasional wear, thumbsoiling to plates. Sticker residue on front pastedown, small dealer's description affixed to front free endpaper, embossed owner's stamp on rear free endpaper. Still, a good copy.
