Heavily illustrated with plates and in text designs. Artwork by Rodin, Poussin, Paul Gauguin, Trubner, Cezanne, Burne-Jones, Rossetti, Aubrey Beardsley, Watts, William Morris, and many others. Publisher's cloth over boards with gilt titles to spine. Boards stained and scratched, corners bumped, small tear in cloth near head of spine, hinges cracked, holograph pencil notes on front free endpaper, rear pastedown, and title page, light toning to plates, occasional smudges and foxing; else a nice copy in a worn binding.
