    David Roberts. Picturesque Sketches in Spain. Taken During the Years 1832 & 1833. London: Hodgson & Graves, 1837. First edition. Large folio (21.5 x 14.5 inches; 546 x 366 mm.). Vignette title-page, dedication, and twenty-five lithographed plates based on illustrations by Roberts, interleaved with coated paper guards. Half dark maroon goat with red cloth-covered boards; front and rear ruled in gilt at edges of morocco; spine stamped in gilt with five raised bands. Marbled endpapers. Housed in custom marbled paper-covered slipcase. All edges trimmed. Regular shelf wear at extremities of binding; spots of pale soiling to morocco along front hinge. Faint marginal spotting scattered throughout text block, most pronounced on first two leaves; small yellow stain and rough patch at bottom margin of title-page, possibly from removed label. Mild edge wear to slipcase. Very good. From the Illustrated Book Collection of David Salinas.
