    Bound in burgundy colored paper with a vignette by Salvador Dali (repeated on the title page), with glassine protective cover. Number 115 of 2,000 copies printed on imponderable wove paper (made in Sorel-Moussel Paper Mills). Printed by Ducros and Colas in Paris (November 24, 1930). Spine is chipped at edges; text block showing the beginnings of separation from cover; otherwise good. Octavo (7.25" x 9.50"), [1-6], 7-124, [125-129]. Includes separate advertising leaflet and letter from the publisher. This work by Surrealists André Breton (1896-1966) and Paul Éluard (1895-1952) is considered one of the most important in the history of literary surrealism, describing the various impulses of the creative processes.
