In original quarter maroon cloth and printed paper-covered boards portfolio. Overall soiling and chipping to the boards and edges, portfolio in fair condition, internally good or better, with moderate toning and light fraying to the edges of some of the letterpress leaves and plates. Internal plates are clean and bright. A beautifully printed portfolio with five full-color lithographic plates and eight black and white gravure plates depicting various Native American masks, dress, and sculpture; each plate is preceded by a leaf with descriptive letterpress text. Very scarce.
