Textblock detached from binding, all pages and plates loosely laid in. Both books in publisher's gilt decorated bindings, all edges gilt. Boards rubbed, scratched and soiled; small tears to spines, bumped; foxing, stains, and smudges, edge wear, small tears, minor loss to tissue guards, occasional holograph pencil marks; otherwise in fair condition.
