Approximately 10.75 x 7.5 inches. "'The Waste Land'/-by T. S. Eliot/draft of a translation into Malay by* [eight lines in Malayan script]/*Anthony Burgess." Note is toned and has vertical and horizontal creases. Octavo. 214 pages. Publisher's full blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt, dust jacket. Jacket spine toned, some rubbing, edgewear to jacket, rear jacket panel thumbsoiled and foxed, some sunning to cloth spine at edges, some rubbing to binding, upper edge of text block is browned and foxed. Slightly skewed. Still, a near fine copy. From the collection of Donald Kaufmann.

    This book, his first, is the first volume of his The Long Day Wanes trilogy.
