Anthony Berkeley. The Piccadilly Murder. London: W. Collins & Sons Co., 1929. First edition. Octavo (7.125 x 4.75 inches; 183 x 121 mm.). 287, [1] pages. Publisher's black cloth, spine and front board lettered and ruled in red; all edges of the text block trimmed; in the original illustrated jacket. Spine slightly skewed; very mild edge and joint wear at extremities of binding; a bit of soiling to boards, mostly visible only in raking light; small amount of fraying at corners and spine ends; a couple of corners softly bumped. Normal age toning with some scattered foxing to edges of text block. Sparsely scattered foxing to first and last few leaves; glue stains at gutter of rear endpapers stretching to last leaf of text; effaced penciling to rear pastedown. Very faint rubbing to exposed panels of jacket; a couple of tiny chips at flap fold ends, with small hole at head of front flap fold; short tear at top of spine panel; soft vertical crease with scattered spots of soiling to front flap.
