Publisher's red cloth, spine stamped in gilt; all edges of the textblock trimmed; in the original illustrated dust jacket. Barely perceptible shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends gently pushed; a bit of bumping to bottom corner of front board. Mild toning with some faint, scattered foxing at edges and interior of text block. Jacket toned and rubbed with a few spots of soiling at exposed panels of jacket; some light edge wear with only a few tiny chips at spine and flap fold ends; a handful of soft creases. Minor foxing at verso of jacket; some spots of red along top edge of rear panel and flap. Near fine. Adrian Homer Goldstone's copy with his bookplate on the front pastedown.
