Argoli (1570-1657) taught mathematics at Rome and Padua, published astronomical tables and ephemerides, espoused the thinking of Galileo and Brahe (yet conceived a universe different from either) and based his astrology on the Prutenic tables. For him, individual lives and also elementary bodies are connected causally to celestial bodies and particular times. "Argoli's extensive astronomical ephemerides, based first on the Prutenic Tables (1620-1640) and later on his own tables (1630-1700), which were based on the observations of Tycho Brahe, gave permanence to his reputation..."
