Signed on the limitation page by Walter Prescott Webb. This is the first issue, with the caption on the photograph on page 565 incorrectly identifying Ray Miller as the third man from the left. Octavo. [i-viii] ix- [1, blank], [1-2] 3-583 pages. Frontispiece plate "The Rio Grande Guard" and numerous text illustrations. Half-calf and cream cloth with blue morocco spine label lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, with the original glassine wrapper and slipcase as issued.

    Condition: Minor foxing on the preliminary and terminal endpapers; modest chipping to the edge of the morocco spine label; a couple of small holes in the glassine wrapper; slipcover a bit shelf worn, else a fine clean copy.
