Originally planned as a 250-350 page private edition to be published on the occasion of the King Ranch centennial in 1953, the project grew to an 838 page trade book. The physical dimensions of the book and the internal design with its ample page margins and expansive chapter head designs are reflective of the immense scale of the King Ranch. This edition was printed on all rag paper made especially for the book by the Curtis Paper Company. It is bound in heavy crash linen resembling the King Ranch saddle blanket with the running "W" brand. Hertzog's design was included in the American Institute of Graphic Arts Fifty Books of the Year.
Condition: Fine in a modestly worn and toned very good slipcase.

HA is a traditional auction house, they set up their auctions slightly different from typical domain auctions. This works well, it seems to be a good mix of old age (live bidding in a prestigious hotel) and new age (online bidding).View More Testimonials
