    More Information: Contemporary half leather with marbled boards. Rubbing and abrading to extremities with splitting joints and fraying to spine ends. Vermin damage to tail of volume I. Hinges cracked with staining and pencil notations to endpapers. Pages show wear with scattered foxing and some rounding to corners. A few pages detached with abrading to edges. Illustrations throughout. Overall a good set and quiet scarce, with no auction records since 1906.
