    Quarto. xvi, (17) - 416. Fold-out frontispiece map titled "A Map of the State of Vermont by J. Whitelaw 1793". Decorated head-pieces and initials. Bound in full calf with gilt lettered title label on spine. Biding rubbed, boards with edge wear and bumped corners, leather cracks on spine and at corners, gilt title label faded. Endpapers with tears, chips, bleedthrough and offset around margins from leather turn-ins. Nineteenth century ink signatures on endpapers and clipped article mounted on the rear endpapers. Ink name on dedication page. Map with edge and fold wear, creases, some fold separations, a four inch tear, and the upper left corner reattached, most repaired with tape on the verso. Foxing and browning to various degrees throughout. Minor soiling. Very good.
