"Written by one of the greatest nineteenth-century American explorers, this is one of the most interesting accounts of an original exploration of unknown parts of Texas..." - Jenkins, Basic Texas Books. "His large map was an attempt not only to bring together information obtained from his own explorations, but to show the relation of that country to the areas lying to the north and south and to the west as far as the Colorado River...one of the best maps of the period." (Wheat 791).

Condition: Very good. Modest shelf wear and staining to boards; text pages with some offsetting; plates generally clean with occasional modest foxing. Maps are very good to fine, with the huge map rarely found in this exceptional condition.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
