Octavo. xv, [1], 320 pages. 65 plates (Geology Plate II and Botany Plate XVIII were never issued according to Jenkins, although they are among the 67 listed in "Illustrations"). Two large folding maps in a separate cloth folder. Original brown cloth with blind stamped decoration and titles lettered in gilt on the spine. Map folder dark brown blind stamped cloth with titles lettered in gilt on the front board.

    Condition: Text volume shelf worn at the extremities with minor chip at the head of the spine; spine a bit faded with some loss to gilt lettering; contents with occasional toning and foxing; offsetting and foxing to some plates, otherwise a very good copy. Map folder worn at the corners; spine faded; maps wrinkled, else very good.
