    More Information:

Max Krueger (1851-1927) was born in Germany but immigrated to Texas in 1868. He developed a large ranch, the Twin Sisters in San Saba County and later a successful manufacturer of agricultural machinery. He died in 1927 and this work was published three years later. His recollections are valuable in tracing Texas' transformation from a frontier society to an industrial one.
