Description

L'Abbé E. Domenech. Journal d'Un Missionnaire au Texas et au Mexique, 1846-1852. Paris: Librairie de Gaume Frères, 1857. First edition. 8vo. xii, 477 pages. French text. Large folding map entitled Carte du Texas pur Les Missions et Voyages de L'Abbé E. Domenech. Does not have the engraved portrait facing the half-title page. Publisher's original printed wrappers.

Domenech "worked in southern Texas and along the Lower Rio Grande, which he describes with a wealth of incident and personal detail" (Raines, p. 69-70).

Condition: Front and rear wrapper detached and chipped with closed tears along the edges; scattered light to moderate foxing internally, still the text block is sound and a better copy than typically found in the original wrappers.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
