Illustrated with photographic portraits. Publisher's original green cloth with pictorial vignette and titles stamped in gilt on the front board.

    Reminiscences of Carter's service with the 1st Louisiana Cavalry, includes an annotated roster of the unit. Carter fought at Corinth, Perryville, and Murfreesboro, before transferring to the Louisiana/Mississippi area.

    Condition: Very good. Light insect damage along the edges of the boards with modest soiling and edge wear. Endpapers toned but contents clean with occasional marginal marks in pencil. Pages edges toned.
