Black leather binding lavishly decorated with floral scroll stamped in gilt and embossed "To Gov. J. G. Downey" on the front board. All edges gilt. Front joint just starting. Contents with scattered damp staining, otherwise very good. A rather scarce work of early California printing and binding.
