    H. W. Graber. The Life and Record of H. W. Graber. A Terry Texas Ranger 1861-1865. Sixty-Two Years in Texas. [Dallas]: [Privately published by the author], 1916. First edition (limited to 120 copies printed for private distribution to Graber's descendants). Octavo. 442 pages. Photographic portrait of the author used as the frontispiece. Rebacked and with new leather corners in the style of the original binding. Titles stamped in gilt on the new spine. Original gray-cloth boards with titles stamped in gilt on the front board.

One of the scarcest personal accounts of the 8th Texas Cavalry. The author also relates his life during Reconstruction in Rusk County, Texas, and, later, Dallas.

Condition: About very good. On the rare occasion copies are offered for sale they are typically horrible condition. This copy retains the original boards which are moderately soiled. The contents are rather bright. A few pages with tears.
