    Bruce Catton. SIGNED/INSCRIBED. The Centennial History of the Civil War. Includes: The Coming Fury, Terrible Swift Sword, and Never Call Retreat. Garden City: Doubleday, 1961, 1963 and 1965. First editions. Terrible Swift Sword and Never Call Retreat are eached signed by Catton and E.B. Long, director of research, at the half title page. Additionally, Terrible Swift Sword is inscribed below the signatures by E.B. Long and is inscribed and signed again by Bruce Catton. Octavos. Publisher's bindings. Terrible Swift Sword is lacking its dust jacket and is thus sunned at the spine. Edges suffer a few small stains. Top edge waterstained. Dust jacket of Never Call Retreat is lightly edgeworn and rubbed at the back panel near the spine. The Cooming of Fury is lightly toned at textblock and dust jacket that is also soiled and edgeworn. Several dog-eared pages. Overall Very good.
