Coffin, the founder and first president of General Electric: "To / Mr. Charles A. Coffin / with the deep / gratitude of / Booker T. Washington / March 14 1910." Two octavo volumes (8 x 5 inches; 201 x 127 mm.). Publisher's dark red cloth, front boards stamped in blind, spines lettered in gilt. Some relatively light edgewear, rubbing, soiling to bindings; the first few leaves in Volume II a bit wrinkled at top. Overall, a near fine copy with an excellent association. From the James C.
