The Laws of the Republic of Texas contained acts and resolutions on a myriad of topics, including such diverse matters as attorney fees, locating a permanent seat of government, an act to provide for the punishment of horse thieves, resolutions authorizing trade with Mexicans, the employment of friendly Indians, an act to incorporate the city of Houston, and hundreds of other important and fascinating acts and resolutions relative to early Texas history.
