First edition. Quarto. 403, [7 ads] pp. Original black cloth, gilt stamped on front cover. All edges red, faded. Binding fragile. Rubbing and wear on exterior. Spine lean and text shaken with first and second signatures starting. Leaves rippled from water damage but no staining visible. Small chip on upper margin of title page, a few light stains. Over-opened, mull cloth exposed in several places. Abrasions on terminal leaves affecting text, loss to upper corners of pp. [393-394] and [397-398]. A fair copy. Rare.
