London: [N.p.], 1794. First edition. Octavo. 106, [8, J. Debrett catalog] pages. Rebound in three-quarter leather and marbled boards. Titles and floral devices stamped in gilt on spine. Marbled endpapers. Edges untrimmed. Binding rubbed, frayed at spine ends. Spine with fade and discoloration. Front hinge cracked between front free endpaper and preliminary blank. Previous owner's embossed stamp on title page. Stain on the fore-edge, reflected in outer margins, but not affecting text. Few other minor stains or soiling. Very good.

    Concerns a dispute between the British Navy and the British Army over American property taken at Charleston, told in correspondence between Sir Henry Clinton and British military officers.
