Contemporary full tree calf, spine ruled in gilt, with red morocco gilt lettering label. Some wear to binding, front joint cracking, some dampstaining to text, two leaves (pages 161-164) a bit loose. A good copy. With the ownership signatures of George F(ayette) Washington, and his son, George F(ayette) Washington, Jr. on the title page and front free endpaper, respectively. George Fayette Washington was President George Washington's grand-nephew, being the grandson of his brother Charles, and George Fayette Washington, Jr. was President Washington's great grand-nephew.
