[Joseph Addison, editor].The Spectator. London: Longman, Dodsley, et al., [n.d., 1797]. Complete in eight octavo volumes, uniformly bound in contemporary full calf with morocco spine labels. Some spine labels lacking. Volume one hinge expertly repaired with adhesive. Contemporary ink signature to FFEPs. Very good.

The daily Spectator (published in 1711-12 and for a short period in 1714) was an influential publication founded by Joseph Addison and Richard Steele. The goal of the publication was "to enliven morality with wit, and to temper wit with morality... to bring philosophy out of the closets and libraries, schools and colleges, to dwell in clubs and assemblies, at tea-tables and coffeehouses." The complete run of the Spectator is contained in these eight volumes.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
