    [J. Evetts Haley and Carl Hertzog]. Corrected Proofs for Fort Concho and the Texas Frontier. [San Angelo: San Angelo Standard-Times (Carl Hertzog), circa 1951-1952]. 6.5" x 9". Pages 101 through 226. Spiral bound in plain paper wrappers. Presented to noted Dallas book reviewer and collector, Lee Milazzo by Carl Hertzog. The presentation written on the front wrapper, reads, in part: "...for Lee Milazzo - note the corrections - some interesting. Also note the frequency of double words like warlike, court house and Haley's use or misuse of hyphens. But he refused to let me put a hyphen in his six-shooter!". With scores of corrections and annotations scattered throughout. Accompanied by a 7.25" x 7" note, dated August 19, 1977 on Hertzog's personal letterhead to Milazzo acknowledging receipt of "some Fort Concho ephemera".

    Condition: Well thumbed, as expected of a working copy, else very good condition.
