Portrait frontispiece. Contemporary full speckled calf, all edges marbled, marbled paper endpapers; red morocco spine labels. Moderate to heavy foxing throughout. Both volumes with literary quote in ink on flyleaves and with name of owner (Edwin C. Jellett of Germantown, Pennsylvania). Volume I with a tipped-in one-page letter to Jellett dated 1892 from John F. Kirk, Jr, his friend from the Mermaid Club. Very good or better.
