    More Information:

Research failed to provide a definite identification of G. F. Hutchinson, and he doesn't appear in either Union or Confederate muster rolls. Joseph R. Davis, nephew of the Confederate president, Jefferson Davis, served with distinction during the Civil War. He was present at the battles of Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor and the Siege of Petersburg.
