Inscribed Association Copy of CIA Chief's Memoir

[CIA]. Allen Dulles. The Craft of Intelligence. New York: Harper & Row, Publishers, [1963].

First edition. Inscribed by the author to John Purcell, the former Manager of the Office of Current Intelligence. Octavo. 277 pages.

Publisher's black cloth with gilt spine titles over gray cloth boards. Boards sunned with light spotting. Light toning to endpapers. Dust jacket shows wear with scratch across front cover through to board. Rather rubbed with toning and small tears. Text clean. Very good.

Allen Dulles served as Chief of the Central Intelligence Agency from 1953-1961. This book was inscribed to John Purcell just nine days before the assassination of JFK, notable as Dulles was later to serve as a member of the Warren Commission. An interesting association copy of the former CIA Chief's memoir.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
