One of the Most Important Documents of the American Revolution

[American Continental Congress]. Extracts From the Votes and Proceedings of the American Continental Congress, Held at Philadelphia, on the 5th of September, 1774. Containing The Bill of Rights, a List of Grievances, Occasional Resolves, the Association, an Address to the People of Great-Britain, a Memorial to the Inhabitants of the British American Colonies, and an Address to the Inhabitants of Quebec. New-London: Timothy Green, 1774. Quarto. [2], 6-[80] pages. Formerly string bound, now loose. From page 40 on, 1.5" section at the top of the remaining pages lacking, affecting text. Damp stain on the title page, scattered foxing and staining throughout. Pages tatty along the edges. A fair copy of this rare early Continental Congress imprint.

The back page of this copy bears the manuscript inscription: "United States of America Jos. Williams Massachusetts". The inside back page also has several men's names in manuscript including "Luther Lomis", "Libou Johnson", and "John Leath". This is one of the most important documents of the American Revolution. Typically found in the condensed 16-page version, this copy despite its faults is scarce indeed.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
