    First edition. Quarto. Frontispiece portrait of the author, portrait of Abba Thulle, King of the Pelew Islands, and a folding map of Pitcairn's Island. Boards worn, spine cracked, and pages foxed and browned. A good reading copy.

    598 pages. Bound in full calf with old leather repairs and leather title label on spine. Boards worn, spine and text block cracked vertically, spine crazed and chipping, leather loss at head, joints cracked; front hinge cracked after free endpaper, pages heavily foxed and browned, image offset from plates onto title page and facing text. A good reading copy.
