    More Information:

Once U.S. Congressman from Georgia Alexander H. Stephens is most famous for his stint as Vice President of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War, though he would later become governor of Georgia from 1882 until his death one year later. Stephens's War Between the States is the politician's Constitutionally-based defense of state sovereignty and his argument for the validity of Southern secession. According to the Dictionary of American Biography, Stephens's book "was a sensation in its day, evoking attacks by Northern and Southern champions of causes upon which it impinged." Harwell 173. Nevins II, 91.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
