    Aldous Huxley. Mortal Coils. London: Chatto & Windus, 1922. First edition. Octavo. [8], 229, [1, printer's statement] pages. Publisher's light blue cloth, printed paper label at spine; top edge of text block trimmed and stained blue; original dust jacket printed in blue on buff paper. Spine ends slightly pushed and discolored; backstrip faded just a shade; light wear along bottom edges of boards. Endpapers yellowed. Softer yellowing to text block; fore-edges of pages a bit rumpled from handling. Jacket slightly worn at edges, with nicking at spine and flap fold ends and short splits starting at ends of panel folds; spine panel and flap folds sunned, with some minor abrasions and damp-staining at the former; short tear near head of rear panel fold; a bit of rubbing and light foxing at front and rear panels; surface of paper partially torn up at a few areas near upper right corner of front panel. Very good book in good jacket.

Publisher's gray cloth, spine stamped with blue panel and lettered in gilt; top and fore-edge of jacket trimmed, top edge stained light blue; original jacket printed in light gray and blue. Very minor shelf wear at extremities of binding. A bit of light foxing at endpapers; text block softly dulled with age. Mild wear and nicking at edges of jacket; some sunning, most pronounced at spine panel and panel edges; some foxing at rear panel, much less at flaps; slight foxing at verso.

Publisher's light blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt; all text block edge trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Mild soiling and discoloration to extremities of binding. Text block softly yellowed with age; minor soiling and speckles of foxing at edges. Jacket a bit dulled, particularly at spine and flap folds; some very light wear with a tiny nick or two at spine and flap fold ends; two spot stains at spine panel; fairly mild soiling at rear panel. Very good.
