More Information: Agatha Christie. The Witness for the Prosecution. New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, [1948]. First edition, no English equivalent; the short story, "The Witness for the Prosecution," first appeared in The Hound of Death and Other Stories (London: 1933). Octavo. [vi], 272, [2, blank] pages. Publisher's gray paper-covered boards, spine lettered in red, publisher's device stamped in red on the front board; in original dust jacket. Dust jacket edges lightly worn with some minor paper loss along the bottom edge; spine panel faintly dulled; rear panel rubbed. A near fine copy in a very good jacket.
