Publisher's full blue cloth; spine and front lettered in orange; front stamped in blind with stylized "4" and ruled border. Original illustrated dust jacket with wraparound band printed on red paper. Top and bottom edges trimmed; fore-edge untrimmed. Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends gently pushed. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; a bit of dust-soiling to top edge; fore-edge roughly opened in a few places. Marginal thumbsoiling scattered occasionally throughout interior; some darkening to page 247. Jacket barely rubbed at exposed panels. Wraparound band faintly sunned at spine panel; minor rubbing, light soiling to front and rear panels. Very nearly fine book in a fine jacket. The fourth book to feature Hercule Poirot, published shortly after its first appearance in Britain.
