Presentation copy for Curtis Brown, Esq., Milne's literary agent in Britain and the United States. Quarto (8.875 x 6.875 inches; 225 x 173 mm.). x, [2], 178, [2] pages; frontispiece, included in pagination, and over 100 in-text illustrations. Completely unopened. Publisher's vellum-covered boards with yapp edges; front board lettered in gilt; page edges untrimmed. Boards very slightly splayed; covers very mildly toned; small gouge toward bottom of front board. Regular tanning to the pages; some slight edge wear, some bolts connecting unopened leaves partially split. Nearly fine. Housed in custom red cloth slipcase.
