Second edition. Quarto. [8], 136, 177-258 pages, text continuous regardless of pagination. One hundred full-page engravings (some signed in plate by Pierre Lombart and Wenceslaus Hollar), and double page map. Frontispiece portrait lacking. Engraved head- and tail-pieces, and decorated initials. Title page in red and black. Bound in full leather, spine with six raised bands, gilt decorations and leather title label in compartments. Boards rubbed and scuffed with surface leather loss, small hole in front board denting the first few leaves, spine with tears and loss at head and foot, small older leather repair at head, gilt faded, title label cracked, joints cracked; hinges cracked, cracking and tears to rear pastedown, dampstains, creases, foxing, soiling, some edge tears, some page and plate corners off not affecting text or image areas, minor paper loss, plate facing page 104 loose, plate facing page 470 coming loose, few ink holograph annotations or smudges; otherwise in good condition.
