First edition. Octavo (8.75 x 5.375 inches; 221 x 138 mm.). 50 pages. Folding map, "Map of the Routes of the Union Pacific Railroads," tipped to title-page. Original printed paper wrappers; text block stab-sewn. Wrappers soiled, creased and chipped; two small holes in front cover and one in back cover, not affecting text; split starting at upper end of center fold of wrappers. Approximately five-inch diagonal bend across upper left corner of wrappers and text block. Edge wear and bumping to text block; persistent damp staining at edges and top half of text block, resulting in rippling; occasional spots of soiling; general light wear from handling. Folding map slightly toned with a bit of wear at edges and creases; small hand correction in pencil on page five. A rare pamphlet in good condition.
