[1-8], [5, index], [1], 2-185; [186-187], 188-587, [14, index], [i-ii], iii-v, [vi], vii-viii, 163 pages. Illustrated with 2 engraved title pages, frontispiece (Vol. 1), and 23 plates (some blind stamped). Full calf with gold stamped decorative borders on covers and decorative design on spines. Hinges slightly worn, slight abrasion on lower end of cover of first volume; marbled endpapers; offset of plates on some facing pages. Very good. Bookplates of Sondley Reference Library (Ashville, North Carolina). A nice copy of Pennant's work on the Arctic, quadrupeds of North America, and the birds of the Arctic.
