    [Taylor and Hessey, binder]. George Crabbe. Poems. London: J. Hatchard, 1812. Sixth edition. Fore-edge painting depicting a river scene below a bridge with a cathedral in the background, artist unknown. Ex-libris Estelle Doheny. Two volumes in one. xlv, [3], 127; [5], 223, [1] pages. Taylor and Hessey binding; full contemporary red morocco decorate din gilt, spine decorated in gilt and partial decorative gilt roll to edges with binder's stamp in gilt to fore-edge. Seemingly recased, corners bumped, moderate edgewear, spine darkened and worn with some losses, joints starting, somewhat rubbed and soiled. Inner dentelles gilt, brown endpapers; book label of Estelle Doheny to front pastedown, somewhat foxed, ink and pencil notations to rear free endpaper, minor chipping to edges. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges gilt; somewhat foxed, minor wear to gilt on edges. Very good with charming, finely-detailed, though somewhat dulled, fore-edge painting.
